Are you part of a community project working to build resilience within your local area?

Do you run a community food garden, renewable energy project, flood action group, search and rescue team or provide community mental health support?

Do you know someone who does?

We want to hear from you!

We’re creating a platform to help you find volunteers, resources, sponsors and partners. Let us know what you need!

Thrivespring is a collaborative online platform for community resilience, self-sustainability and disaster risk management.

We are launching this spring with one main feature — the Community Resilience Projects — and we’ll be adding more features on a regular basis.

The Community Resilience Projects feature will help people connect with others in their communities to work together for long-term resilience building. Let’s work together to create more robust, adaptive, prepared and connected communities!

We are looking for projects that fit into at least one of the following categories:

  • Preparedness & Mitigation (eg. flood action groups; community emergency hubs)
  • Emergency Response (eg. evacuation assistance; search and rescue)
  • Recovery (eg. post-disaster “shop local” campaigns; neighbourhood clean-up crews)
  • Food Production and Distribution (eg. urban farming; surplus food rescue)
  • Water Security (eg. rainwater harvesting; water recycling systems)
  • Local Energy (eg. renewable energy microgrids)
  • Communications (eg. wireless mesh networks)
  • Community Assistance (eg. running errands for seniors during Covid; lost pets search group)
  • Health Initiatives (eg. community mental health support)
  • Community Funding (eg. provision of funds to local projects within any of the above categories)

Here’s a sneak peek of how the Community Resilience Project feature will look!
