We are getting ready to launch Thrivespring in the next few weeks and want to make sure that our community resilience platform reflects the needs and wishes of the people who sign up.

So, with that in mind, we would like to ask: what does community resilience mean to you?

Do you think a resilient community should be working towards long-term self-sustainability? Should it be able to produce a good proportion of its own food? Should it be able to produce energy locally? Does it need a robust local economy? How important is water security? What should people know about their local hazards and risks? What emergency plans should be put in place? How can communities develop their long-term resilience, self-sustainability and disaster risk management?

Below is a graphic of what we see as the necessary components of a resilient community. Are we on the right track? What is missing? Are any of these things impossible to achieve?
